About Me

Devoted math and science educator with a 15+ year career focused on fostering student success as a tutor, high school teacher, and adjunct physics and math instructor.

Started my career teaching at academically rigorous boarding schools, then tutored my way through graduate school.

Earned my M.S. in physics with an emphasis on physics education from the University of Washington, and a B.A. degree in physics & philosophy from Swarthmore College.

While teaching as an adjunct professor, I discovered the growing need for one-on-one academic support, especially in math and science, and quickly found myself tutoring over 20 students per week.  I decided to start JSC Tutoring & Academic Support and have never looked back.
